Essential Skills in Literacy and Numeracy (Orr Learning Dromore)
The Essential Skills qualifications were developed to support Northern Ireland’s Essential Skills Strategy to improve adults’ literacy and numeracy skills and are nationally accredited qualifications.
There are many reasons why people enrol on the Essential Skills Programme: to improve or “brush up” on their reading, writing and number skills; to help with their child’s homework; to achieve a recognised qualification; for a building block to higher education; to help maintain and develop the skills they use in their current employment and the social element which involves meeting new people in a new environment.
QCF Employability Skills (Orr Learning Dromore)
The Employability programme will help to identify training and employment needs, while preparing students for a range of practical skills. These will include constructing CVs, completing application forms, preparing letters and discussing interview techniques.
QCF Substance Misuse (Orr Learning Dromore)
The purpose and aim of this qualification is to provide the student with an awareness of the use and misuse of a range of drugs available. The qualification will allow the student to research society’s perceptions of the drugs culture.
Orr Learning can deliver the above qualifications on a one to one basis or to small groups of students in a relaxed, comfortable environment. Confidentiality is assured.
